Fibonacci Sequence
The sequence is a series of numbers in which each number is the sum of the previous two. The first two numbers are 0 and 1, and every subsequent number can be found by adding the two preceding numbers together.
For example, the first ten numbers in the Fibonacci numbers sequence are: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, and 34.
The inventor Leonardo Pisano Bigollo (a.k.a. Leonardo Fibonacci), was an Italian mathematician who popularized it during the 1200s. He used this sequence to describe how rabbits reproduce—each new baby rabbit brings about one more baby than its parents did when they were first born.
Fibonacci Numbers
The Fibonacci series of numbers are found in many places in nature. It begins with 0, 1, and then each subsequent number is the sum of the previous 2 numbers.
